This is a maquette for a series of public sculptures, using a video projection technique I developed for the theater: bending acrylic mirrors to organically distort reflected light.

In this case, instead of projected video, I’m relying on sunlight – the sculptures use reflected sunlight to create daylight projections that slowly move and grow as muscle wire causes the mirrors bend and flex. I envision these installed throughout an urban environment, transforming blank walls and empty lots into stages for the slow, silent dance of animated sunshine drawings.
